The K-Group’s new headquarter K-Campus was completed in Helsinki’s Kalasatama district in June 2019. Located in an excellent spot next to the metro station and the Redi shopping center, the building is a modern workplace for more than 1,700 K Group employees.
Even large customer volumes are handled smoothly
The staff restaurant at K-Campus is operated by NoHo Partners Plc, which chose Restolution’s self-service checkouts instead of traditional manned cashier stations. The restaurant has six self-service checkouts, where all customers entitled to employee meal benefits pay for their lunch. In addition, there is one manned checkout, for example for visitors.
“Self-service checkouts were an obvious choice for us,” says restaurant director Mika Hirvonen. “Our restaurant operates with large volumes, and during lunch hours we sell 600–700 meals per hour. Thanks to the self-service checkouts, even large numbers of customers can pay quickly, and queues don’t build up. It also reduces the need for staff.”
